There was a time when a mousepad was just a basic thing, designed to keep your mouse gliding smoothly across your desktop. But the SteelSeries QcK Prism goes far beyond this utility, functioning not only as an excellent surface for precision mousing, but as a cool decorative accessory for your gaming surface.

I’ve seen 48″ wide mousepads, but a company called Pad-Zilla easily tops that with its debut product. The Pad-Zilla Large measures 60″x 30″ – that’s 5 ft x 2.5 ft – and the company has three even larger models in the works.

Even though the vast majority of people use optical mice these days, there’s still a need for a nice mousepad. This stylish, silicone-based mousepad was created by the Chinese-Canadian designer Kitmen Keung.

I’ve never bought a mouse pad. Not only are most of them kitschy, I barely even need one because even my cheap optical mice works on different surfaces. That said, I would still like to get a Mouserug for my trusty Logitech.

Who says nerds can’t be classy? With Etsy seller doneLeather’s made-to-order leather mouse pads, your desktop will immediately earn +10 style, not to mention +10 armor once equipped. They’ll also blend perfectly with steampunk computer peripherals.

I’ve still not completely figured out why Minecraft has blown up the way it has, but all I can figure is that it’s sort of like having a set of digital LEGO blocks – and we all know how popular LEGOs are.

Breaking news: chemists have stumbled upon the recipe of doom: Polonium, Oxygen and Phosphorus, or PoOP. Problem is, the price stinks: the PoOP mousepad sells for $16 USD at Mousepad Warehouse. There’s no way I’m paying $16 for a mousepad.
