The most reviled toy in the entire toy box at daycare way back in the day was the Jack-in-the-Box. It played creepy music, and you never knew when that clown bastard would pop out. If you have kids and want to scare the crap out of them in a way that a standard Jack-in-the-Box can’t, this is the toy for you.

Designers draw inspiration from their passions and interests, and from random things that catch their eye. The former was probably true for jewelry and shoe designer Nixxi Rose when she came up with this series of to-die-for footwear featuring the likes of the previously seen Iron Shoes (inspired by the hit show Game of Thrones) and the Krueger Heels (which were inspired by – you guessed it – Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger.)

I saw the first couple of Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but never actually made it to Nightmare on Elm Street IV. Apparently, in that movie, Freddy Kreuger makes a serious fashion statement, wearing a sweater filled with the souls of the dead.

It’s official: amigurumi can make anything cute, from vomiting zombies to, well, just about everything in Moon Yen’s “Moon Buns” crochet series. The Moon Buns are all bunnies, sure, but not just any bunnies. These little guys have the soft bodies and long ears… as well as pins stuck in their faces, fangs, and occasionally, tentacles.
