Check out this home in Norway that was built on a giant turntable. No, it doesn’t play tunes as it spins around, although that would be an awesome bonus. The idea is that it can be remotely rotated for maximum sun exposure, or to control the view out the windows.

It’s gotten ridiculously frigid here in Chicago, what with the recent Polar Vortex and colder than normal winter. But I’ve never seen anything like this scene, recently captured in Norway: Apparently, when harsh winds caused temperatures over a Norwegian bay to drop to sub-freezing temperatures, the fish swimming close to the surface were flash frozen.

There’s an app for that. How many times have you heard that? Well, a Norwegian-based studio, Rift Labs, has come up with The Kick, a portable photo/video lighting system for smartphones and DSRLs that will allow you to ensure that you’re taking the best pics possible.

You’ve probably already seen those posters that warn you never to leave your dog alone in your car. The outside temperature may rise, or it may fall, but when your dog (or cat) is locked inside, well – I don’t even want to imagine what might happen to them.

And Johansen isn’t just spouting random, disgusting trivia: in 2010 Norway’s capital will start rolling out buses fueled with methane, which in turn will be extracted from sewage.

Norwegian projector makers projectiondesign today announced their new Action! M25 DLP projector which claims the current title for the smallest full HD projector on the market. Measuring just 3.7″ (h) x 9.2″ (d) x 10.8″ (w), the projector features full 1080p resolution.
