Cracking nuts while sipping cocktails and making small talk with relatives: it’s a timeless holiday tradition. But what about those stubborn nuts that refuse to crack so easily – what about them? I’m looking at you, macadamias!

For those of us growing a veggie garden or feeding birds in our yards, we typically think of squirrels as pests. But they’re living creatures too, and would simply prefer that we fed them nuts if we could.

Chipmunks are really cute. They are a lot like squirrels, but look a lot less ratty. VidGeo found video of a pair of chipmunks battling it out for whatever reason chipmunks get violent about. I can only assume it was over someone’s nuts.

Nuts are perhaps the most convenient snacks to have. There’s no need to prepare them, they taste great, and they’re pretty filling (but then, that’s usually because I eat 1/4 of the bag before I put it away…) Nuts come in many shapes and varieties, and now they even come flavored, too.
