There are lots of types of pots out there for planting things, but most of them are simply variants of the same basic shapes. I’d rather keep my plants in something a bit geekier, like this custom-built Saturn V rocket planter by SimonRob.
You know what the ghosts from Pac-Man could use? Plants growing out of their heads, that’s what. Yeah, that makes them much more adorable, and less intimidating for sure. That’s why I love these Pac-Man ghost planters from Dips and Prints.
Chewbacca and Groot have some things in common. They’re both big, strong, brown, and men of action – not words. But neither of them is particularly cute (though Baby Groot is a different story.) But if you combined the furry mop of Chewie with the plant-growing abilities of Groot, then shrunk them down to pint-size, the offspring would be simply adorable.
Few things in this universe are as cute as Baby Groot, and luckily for all of us, we got to see a lot of him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Sadly, Groot will be a bit older by the time the next movie comes out.
Etsy store Anson Design Co. makes decorative items made of wood and concrete, including these cute planters based on famous Star Wars ships. They even come with a low maintenance air plant.
The Millennium Falcon planter comes in two sizes.
This Super Mario Boo Ghost Planter will look awesome in your home. I would put a Piranha Plant in it. Or some vine that will let you climb into the clouds. It’s pretty adorable.
The only problem that I see with this Boo Ghost planter is that your plant might take on the characteristics of Boo, meaning that when you look at it, it will freeze and not grow.
Here in Chicago, it’s so frakkin’ cold right now that growing plants is about the furthest thing from my mind. But I keep telling myself that spring is only a few months away. And once I’m hanging out on my deck and enjoying the nice weather again, my planters might have something other than dead branches in them.
If you’re both a horticulturist and an audiophile, then have I got the perfect thing for you. Ok, it’s probably more for the gardener than the audio fanatic since it doesn’t actually function as a speaker, but this thing is still kind of a neat idea.
I read a lot about the “Green Revolution” over the last weekend, since it was one of the topics covered in my school Finals. You’d think that something with that name would have something to do with saving the environment, right?
If you can manage to keep potted plants alive, they might as well be in Tetris planters. Really, what else are you going to put them in? This gorgeous project is classy and cool.
Hmm. Better with or without the grass?
