Some guy over on the Xbox-Scene forums started to work on what will hopefully one day be the finest Xbox casemod of all time. The Xbox Mini case that he fabricated is a thing of beauty, reducing the ugly black behemoth that was the original Xbox into a svelte little package.

Tired of the plain white exterior of your Nintendo Wii? Here’s an interesting way to change its look without having to make any permanent modifications. The Wii Dazzle Colorful from GT Coupe is a translucent plastic shell that snaps over the exterior of your Wii, adding a layer of color over the standard white case.

Here’s a wacky mobile phone out of China that looks like it’s ready to lift off into orbit. The Shenzhou VII rocket phone conjures up images of 1950s science fiction with its orange spaceship design. While it is definitely different, the shape isn’t particularly practical.

The Diana camera was a really cheap plastic camera that was made by the Great Wall Plastic Factory in Hong Kong in the 1960s. At the time, it was just that, a piece of junk. But over the years artists have discovered that the crummy little camera’s flaws ended up producing some really dreamy imagery.

This funky portable FM radio from Semk isn’t made out of the traditional hard plastics and metals you usually find in electronic gadgets. In fact, the battery-operated Radiobox is made using similar materials to those you’d find in a beanbag chair.

Who says that speakers need to be boxy to sound good? With the release of their new Drop speakers, Spain’s Scandyna certainly disagrees. Looking like something out of an alien civilization, The Drop speakers are designed for those who like their speakers to make a bold visual statement.

Like Art Lebedev’s (vaporware) Verbarius clock, this unique timepiece uses words to describe the current time, rather than using numbers. Time is displayed on the Tubular Time Clock in phrases such as “quarter past four” and “five minutes past six” instead of the pedestrian “4:15” and “6:05.”

Here’s another cool clock design from Japan’s I.D.E.A. International. This one lets you project a functional analog clock face onto any wall. The projection clock is housed in a see-through acrylic shell which shows off the unique optics and mechanical components that generate the clock image.

DLO today introduced their new VideoShell SE line of cases for 5G iPods. The case protects your iPod with a nice hard transparent shell, while still providing a splash of color. The cases provide direct access to the scroll wheel, headphone jack and docking connector, and also feature a built-in kickstand.

Designer Ross McBride has created these whimsical stools which are modeled after the keys on your computer keyboard. Command Sit stackable plastic stools look perfect for a dorm room or other playful space. The giant key seats provide one simple and succinct command, “sit.”

This cool boombox comes from an unlikely source, mobile phone maker Nokia. The minimal briefcase-style design features a unique transparent plastic enclosure. There’s a dock for a Nokia music-capable phone (not sure if anything else will dock there), and then two substantive speakers with all their guts exposed for the world to see.
