If you enjoy playing games or watching movies on your PS3 or other Sony device, you may be interested to hear that Sony has added a fourth option for adding funds to your PlayStation Store digital wallet.
These days you can run dozens of classic games on a PC using emulators. If you’re good with modding hardware, you may be able to connect the right controller for the console you’re emulating. But if you’re Patrice Daubaire, you take it one step further.
At tonight’s pre-E3 press conference, Sony finally showed off the physical hardware for the PS4. Sure, we already know a whole lot about the next-gen PlayStation’s specs and capabilities, but it’s always nice to have a piece of actual hardware to ogle.

Earlier tonight, Sony strutted its stuff with the new PS4 – albeit without actually showing the console – along with a number of new games headed to the next-gen console. After months of anticipation, Sony today announced their next-generation PlayStation console, the PS4. Despite showing off the controller (which we’ve already seen,) Sony continues to be evasive about showing off the console itself, or discussing pricing.
An image has surfaced showing off what appears to be a prototype controller for the upcoming PlayStation 4 (aka “PlayStation Orbis) console. The photo shows a controller that looks largely like a Dual-Shock, but with the addition of a smooth area in the middle that could be a touchscreen of some sort.
We’ve featured a handful of videogame collections for sale, but this one takes the cake. eBay member videogames.museum is selling what amounts to uhm, a videogame museum. Hundreds of consoles, thousands of games and hundreds upon hundreds of accessories and promo items.
I’ve been hanging on to my original fat, shiny, backwards-compatible PlayStation 3 in anticipation of the eventual release of the PS4 – but I might just have to run out and buy this newly-announced bundle when it comes out anyhow.

A much-loved feature that was taken away from the PlayStation 3 could be making a comeback, but not through emulation. There’s a rumor among rumor-having places that Sony will be partnering with cloud gaming service Gaikai to stream PS One and PlayStation 2 games to “PlayStation hardware.”
