Those Angry Birds and pesky green pigs are everywhere these days. They’ve even invaded Flickr, where I found these sickeningly cute little handmade Angry Birds plushes made by Heidi Kenney of My Paper Crane. All of the little plush birdies and pigs were made for her son, and are filled with a mix of rice and polyfil so they’re heavy enough to actually shoot with a slingshot using these and a bunch of pigs placed amongst some wood blocks.

Anyone who’s a fan of the Cthulhu Mythos and HP Lovecraft will enjoy putting this Peeping Cthulhu Suction Cup Plush in the back window of their car. It’s the combination of things, the cuteness of the plush toy, the fact that Cthulhu was never meant to be cute, and the fact that most people driving behind you will have no idea what the hell it is that makes this one a winner.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time that I’m going to describe Batman as cute, but what else can I say? This plush Batman is cute. There. Robin’s gained a bit of weight though. I’ll call him Double-Chin Robin.

I really like Angry Birds, even if it does occasionally frustrate me and I fear the bill I will get from the in app purchases my daughter made. We have seen some plush toys made in the likeness of the Angry Birds characters before, but those were seemingly for US geeks only.

Maker Pete Prodoehl recently came up with the Twitter Monkey. What does it do? It tweets, of course, right? Actually, that’s not how it works. Instead, Twitter Monkey alerts you in an annoying way when it ‘sees’ specific keywords come up in a Twitter stream by wildly gesticulating its arms.

An iPhone or iPod touch is like catnip for kids. They get a glimpse of the phone, realize there are games close by and descend like little locusts and abscond with the device in short order.

If you’re an Apple fanboy or fangirl, here’s something nifty to set in your living room. It’s a soft and squishy plush iMac. Created by textile artist Kerry Hughes, the plush iMac appears to be running Logic Pro 8, so it’s perfect for iMac fans who are also musicians.

You got to hand it to the people behind these Cthulhu accessories. They make something pretty frightening look pretty cute. While I don’t think that it’s a good idea of making fun of Cthulhu, it’s certainly something cute to give any HP Lovecraft fan.

Beware of the kid who likes a Facehugger for a bedtime companion. I don’t care if this thing is made of candy; it still scares the hell out of me.

Blizzard will soon unleash cute plush pets for World of Warcraft fans, starting with the Wind Rider Cub and Gryphon Hatchling. Each adorable widdle monster will come with a special code that will unlock its virtual, non-combat, account-bound equivalent.

Cat lovers, have I got something for you! This wacky robotic cat from Japan’s TakaraTomy is sure to make you giddy. What does Nyago the Cat do that makes him so special? Well, let me tell you.

These plush, handmade Resident Evil grenades will sadly not explode on impact… but that does mean they can be thrown over and over, to the great detriment and humiliation of your victim. Or you can just throw ’em at the television, which is what creator Id decided to do.

When it comes to Katamari Damacy, it’s all about the King and the Prince. The Queen gets no love and she hardly even shows up in the games! Of course, as full of himself as the King is, do you blame her for not hanging around?

Do your kids scare easily? Are they budding serial killers? Then these plush stuffed animals are probably not for them. On the other hand, if your kids are into gross stuff, and understand the difference between play and real life, these car-flattened stuffed animals might be fun sitting beneath the Christmas tree this year.

Toad is probably the cutest character from the Mario ‘verse (Mario in various boots and outfits aside), but he doesn’t show up as often as many of the other characters in crafts outside of cosplay, which is why I was so thrilled to see this adorable knitted version.
