With the increasing ubiquity of electronic devices, it’s not hard to imagine a future where we no longer need paper. But PEGA Design & Engineering thinks otherwise. The design consultancy firm has come up with a new paper-based material that can be used to make cases for gadgets.
Michael Young has designed the world’s first over-ear headphones that are made out of recyclable materials. The Noisezero O+ Eco headphones are made out of recyclable stainless steel, aluminum, and cornstarch bio-plastics.
I don’t know where Fast Co. Design got this statistic, but apparently “only 10% of regular headphone consumers” know about the audio company Sennheiser. Industrial designer Matthew Lim thought of a way of helping the company boost it’s popularity, primarily with the 24- to 35-year old demographic.
