This insane collectible out of Japan is truly for you die-hard Final Fantasy fanatics out there. The set includes sixteen cans of Final Fantasy XIII “elixir”  – which is some sort of Suntory lemon-flavored concoction with three-times the normal amount of caffeine and royal jelly.

This has got to be one of the best video game promotional items that I’ve ever come across. It’s so simple, yet brilliant. It’s an actual custom-cast brick that was used to promote the classic MAXIS/EA city-building game SimCity 2000.

These days, video game franchises get merchandized to death. So I decided to set out on a mission to find the strangest game merch and promotional schwag I could find over on eBay. Here are some of my favorites.
