Ever wondered how much money in video games and science fiction movies would be worth in our world? Well, thanks to the Intergalactic Exchange Bureau, you can now convert between a number of fictitious currencies. Developed as a promotional stunt by Money in Advance, the Intergalactic Exchange Bureau can convert currencies from Star Wars, Star Trek, Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas, Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire and a couple of others.

Ever wonder what platform Mayoral candidates in SimCity run on? How about the “if you don’t vote for me, I’ll kill you and everyone your know with randomly placed natural disasters” platform?

This has got to be one of the best video game promotional items that I’ve ever come across. It’s so simple, yet brilliant. It’s an actual custom-cast brick that was used to promote the classic MAXIS/EA city-building game SimCity 2000.

This week, a handful of us bloggers had the opportunity to hang out at EA’s sprawling headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA to meet with the team that created the new MySims game for the Nintendo Wii.
