Snowmobiles are fun and fast, but when you just want to get down a big snow-covered hill, there’s nothing like a sled. If you’re the kind of speed freak that enjoys going 40mph downhill, then this sled might be for you.
There have been only a few Nike shoes with LEDs, but these snowboard boots take the top prize, thanks to 30 LEDs implanted into the swoosh on each boot. You definitely won’t be invisible on your next night run down the slopes.
It’s still sunny and warm here in Chicago, but Winter is only a few months off if you can believe it. If you live somewhere that it snows occasionally, but don’t want to spend money on a snowblower for fear that it won’t actually snow this season?
England has been having quite a bad winter this year, with snow continuing well into this month. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised if Doctor Who landed his TARDIS somewhere in the UK and encountered this… a snow Dalek.
This Millennium Falcon sled probably won’t do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, but if there is snow, this ship has got it where it counts. Sean Murray built this awesome sled for an office event – and also for his Star Wars loving daughter to enjoy.
Illinois State University must be like a prison. Why do I say that? Because Illinois State University junior Anthony LaGiglia carved this impressive batman snow sculpture with only a plastic knife from the dining area. I imagine that he secreted away the knife and fashioned into a shiv in his cell.
Winter. There’s really not much to do in winter except freeze your butt off and build things out of snow. Or both. So you might as well build yourself something good. Like this giant albino LEGO minifig snowman.

It’s a little-known fact that Jedi Knights and Native Americans share something in common. Namely, they use every part of the animals they kill. What you didn’t know about The Empire Strikes Back was that after Luke hacked off the hungry Wampa’s arm, he kept it.
Wheelchairs have difficulties moving about in snow, but no longer thanks to Wheelblades. These small skis can be easily mounted on the front wheels of wheelchairs or baby buggies, significantly improving their mobility in snow and ice.
These headphones, which were designed by the Copenhagen-based firm KiBiSi, were made to be weather resistant. This means that they’ll shrug off rain and snow. That might be cool to have, especially if you can’t live without your tunes while you’re walking around this winter.
Here in Texas, it is rare to get snow, so when winter rolls around all we can do is throw handfuls of that foaming hand soap around and pretend its cold. We can go years without seeing any sort of snow around here and if you live in a similarly warm climate, you might want to check out the new Google Easter Egg which turned up this week.
We don’t get a real winter here in Texas, it rarely snows. If it does snow, it only lasts a few days. In colder climates, like Technabob HQ in Chicago, you guys can spend the winter having snowball fights and digging your car out.
I know that making AT-ATs out of snow has been one way of using up some of the massive snowfall that’s been plaguing the U.S. this season, but I have to say that this one from Norway actually looks pretty awesome too.
