Danish company infinityPV is working on what it claims is the world’s most compact solar charger. The HeLi-on is just 4.4″ long yet packs a battery and a long solar panel that rolls into its slim body, thanks to the company’s organic solar cell technology.

Portable solar cells are notoriously slow to charge compared to external batteries, but you might not mind if you get the Solar Paper. Yolk says its device is the world’s thinnest and lightest solar charger, and you can connect multiple units together to increase their output and reduce charging time.

I’m a rather unorganized person, I tend to use sticky notes to remind myself of important things I need to do even though I have an iPhone on me just about all the time. Smartphones are meant to keep us organized mind you, but mostly I use mine for watching cat videos and various fail compilations on YouTube.

It’s hard to keep enough power in your gadgets when you spend time at the park away from an outlet and you have a Flappy Bird binge or take lots of videos of your kids or pet and upload them to Facebook.

If you have an abundance of mobile devices and sunlight, then you’ll find a solar charger handy. Admittedly, this one from Brando isn’t the prettiest charger – or ornament – you’ll see, but it does make up for it in versatility and price.

Real bonsai can be very beautiful and relaxing, but they also require much skill, care and effort. Vivien Muller’s plastic bonsai on the other hand is easy to use and actually takes care of you. Or at least your gadgets.

Let's see. When I was thirteen, I cared about getting good grades, obsessed over whether I should grow my hair out or get a boy cut, and surfed the web with prepaid Internet cards (yes, I used to do that, and it feels like ages ago. Which it sort of really is.)

Back in grade school, I had this cool calculator watch that I used all the time in class. The thing was powered by a solar panel on the top, and I thought was awesome that it would work inside and outside.
