Leonard Carson had been toying with the idea of combining carbon fiber with stormtrooper armor for some time. He managed to convince three of his co-workers join his cause and this is the result. I have to say that these carbon troopers look quite impressive.

So why is it that every time I think that all possible ideas for new Star Wars merchandise have been 100% exhausted, someone comes out with yet another product which nobody ever thought about. Case in point, these R2-D2 mints.

The guys over at Dutch tech site Hardware.Info recently held a contest for people to come up with the coolest design ideas possible for using the blank canvas that is Corsair’s 600T tower PC case, and the winning design is pretty epic.

It seems appropriate that the week that I got myself a pair of adidas adiZero Feathers, a stormtrooper helmet made completely out of adidas sneakers turns up. This helmet was created by the blogger Freehand Profit of The Hip Hop Nerd to promote StarWarsRemix.com.

This is kind of funny because I never thought that any company would sponsor The Dark Side, but here you have it, the adidas Stormtrooper, ready to die for Darth Vader, while promoting the popular athletic-wear brand.

Sometimes, people do pretty weird and crazy things for no good reason. However, Paul French from the land down under has a good reason for donning his Stormtrooper suit every day because he’s doing it for charity.

After Darth Vader took some time off, it’s nice to see that his underlings also get to take a vacation too. Rebels? Nah, let the sandtroopers or scouttroopers take care of them while stormtroopers take a greatly deserved break.

Ok, they’re not made out of fleece, but the headline sounded way better that way. “The Dark Side of the 60% Cotton / 40% Polyester” didn’t roll off the tongue the same way. Regardless, these Dark Side hoodies are still pretty awesome – assuming you get your thrills from Star Wars, and don’t mind people staring at you.

This isn’t the first Star Wars and Daft Punk connection I’ve seen, but instead of featuring our favorite future ‘bots from Daft Punk in the cantina with C-3PO, it shows them being arrested by some evil stormtroopers.

I was just watching Revenge of the Sith on Spike last night, so I’ve had Star Wars and stormtroopers on the brain since then. So I was doing a search this morning when I came across this thing.

The guys over at Charm City Cakes have introduced a new line of cakes including a couple that are perfect for readers of Technabob. Now what cake isn’t perfect for me and my epic sweet-tooth? Maybe one with whipped cream frosting – I don’t much care for those.

Yes, there’s a lot of snow right now and it can be a pain, especially if you’re not used to receiving that much of it at the same time. Personally, even though I’m currently living in Taipei, I love snow.

The Force is really strong over at ThinkGeek. The company seemingly has an endless supply of awesome Star Wars gear that geeks can lust after. You might recognize these Lego Minifig Alarm Clocks that we talked about back in September.

This 404 page made me laugh. It’s from the 501st Legion’s website. What’s the 501st Legion? It’s a Star Wars costume organization, but not just any Star Wars costume organization, the world’s definite Imperial costume organization.

These new Mimobot flash drives look pretty cool because when they are not in use, they look like stormtroopers. When you take off the helmet to plug it in to your computer, you’ll find either Luke Skywalker or Han Solo hiding beneath.

I laughed out loud when I saw this image. Come on, isn’t it hilarious? Two stormtroopers giving you an eye exam, making sure you know exactly how they feel! My most recent eye exam was pretty painless, but you better believe that I would have preferred to read out loud these letters instead of the regular E-P-F-T-O-Z, etc…
