When it comes to Star Wars movies, many of us agree that The Empire Strikes Back was still the best of the nine film Skywalker Saga. Among its many contributions to the lore of Star Wars were the tauntauns that Luke and Han rode around in the snow on Hoth.

So you’ve been freezing to death on the surface of Hoth, and spent the night sleeping inside of the smelly guts of your tauntaun pal to keep warm. Now that you’re done with your near-death experience, you’ve got to do something with that carcass, right?

While the Imperial AT-AT Walker was designed as a war machine on legs, it really ended up being quite a flop due to its fatal design flaws. That said, AT-ATs do make pretty cute pets, if you housebreak them.

Despite numerous Star Wars films being released in the 3+ decades since its release, The Empire Strikes Back is still the best movie in the saga for many of us. Sure, The Force Awakens was very good, but it’s a tall hill to climb to best the 1980 classic.

As good as The Force Awakens and Rogue One were, The Empire Strikes Back is still my all-time favorite Star Wars film. From the main and subplots, to the character development, to the ahead-of-their-time visual effects, it’s still one of the best popcorn flicks of all time.

So, here’s the deal. In the MOC Madness competition, all the Star Wars things are going steampunk. The Steam Wars competition is broken into five rounds, which started this past July. The first challenge was to take a starfighter and re-imagine it as a minifig scale steampunk fighter.
