So you bought a new Mac or Ultrabook in the last couple of years, but you’ve yet to plug anything into its Thunderbolt port. A company called Sonnet shows you what that little hole can do for you.

Last summer, Matrox unveiled a new line of Thunderbolt docking stations specifically for MacBook users. The docking station line is called the Matrox DS1 and includes two nearly identical products. Matrox has announced that its DS1 products are now available in the United States.

Sure, Thunderbolt is fast, but there aren’t many devices that you can buy that work with it, leaving Apple fanboys crying in their closets. LaCie has released a new Thunderbolt-compatible portable drive, that uses a speedy solid-state drive for that extra special cherry on top.

The Thunderbolt connection interface can transfer data at up to twice as fast the speed of USB 3.0, but the latter is compatible with more devices and is also cheaper. What if we combined both worlds?

This may not be on the scale of Real Steel (or even Battlebots) but watching robots of any size duke it out is pretty fun. A “Robot Pro Wrestling event” was recently held in Japan on Christmas day at the Buddhist Hall in Tsukiji, Tokyo and the result is Rock ’em Sock ’em robots for real.
