I don’t have the skill or the agility to even get on a skateboard. Forget doing tricks. So I’m impressed the stuff Tony Hawk just does here on Earth. Now he’s skateboarding in zero gravity on a good old “vomit comet”.

If you have never driven in a vehicle that had a lot of power under foot you might not know hard it is to keep a car in a straight line if you take off fast.

The Tony Hawk Helmet Cam is designed for skate punks who want to record their faceplants and other smooth moves for posterity. The little camera straps onto any helmet and can be aimed with a laser-targeting system.

There’s a video floating around on YouTube demoing Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam for the Nintendo Wii. While the game doesn’t look terrible, I have to say it’s time to retire this whole franchise. There’s really nothing innovative here, and the whole thing kinda smells like a poor cousin of the SSX franchise.
