Griffin has been selling some interesting little remote control helicopters for a while. The little helicopters are controlled by iOS devices such as an iPhone or an iPad. I’ve used them before and I can say that they can be difficult to control.

I bet more than a few of you are fans of the game Portal and Portal 2. Besides GLaDOS, the Companion Cube, Wheatley and Cave Johnson, one of the most memorable things Chell had to deal with are those pesky turrets lying around the environment.

I’ve been impressed by many LEGO creations in the past, but nothing beats the level of OMG WTF how did he do that as this Triport Spire. This is a science fiction themed LEGO build so incredibly detailed you can look at the photos for hours and not take in all it has to offer.

I bet a lot of you are like me and get a kick out of seeing the mashups geeks can whip up with a couple gadgets and some spare time. Thomas Sohmers has what might be one of the coolest combos I’ve seen in a long time.

I have one of those stainless steel refrigerators in my kitchen – which means it looks really cool on the front, but it also only holds magnets on its steel sides, so I miss out on some of the cool things you can stick to your fridge – like this tiny Fridge Rover.

The Back to the Future trilogy had so many cool things in it, but one of the things that we remember most is from Back to the Future II. The hoverboard that Marty steals to flee from trouble.

You might recall that last week I ran across a cool LEGO creation that was perfect for my little girl. It was pink and used the girl-focused LEGO Friends sets to make a cool mech. Here’s another LEGO creation using one of those Friends figures – this time to recreate Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, along with a Think Tank – made from regular LEGO bits.

While it’s never been recommended to chuck around your precious smartphone, it looks like the new TheO Foam ball will allow you to do so, at least in a reasonable manner. While you probably won’t want to play dodgeball with your iPhone inside of it, there are specially-designed games that you can play with it.

Jaimie Mantzel is excited about the new toy that he invented. With good reason. He even has a toy company on board to help produce his walking robot toy. He’s calling this prototype robot the “greatest toy in the universe.”

Dancing is all the rage right now what with those popular network dance competition shows and all. Turns out robots are getting into the act too. The new Tosy DiscoRobo toy is all about shaking its groove thang and has heart shaped LED eyes to let you know that it loves you.

Papercraft fans who love Fallout or Voltron can make some cool new toys for their desk. They each have the signature cube heads of papercraft toys and look amazing.
