The guys over at LEGO-fan site Brothers Brick came across these new LEGO sets based on this Summer’s much-anticipated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time motion picture. The three sets range from a modest 258 piece kit for $29.99 (USD), all the way up to an enormous 821 piece set called the “Battle of Almut,” priced at $79.99.

She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts kids: The DC-Falcon was crafted by Steve Perry aka pezzapoo. Apparently the cult classic console and Perry’s Millenium Falcon toy were perfect for each other.

…well at least with this thing your cat won’t get your real iPhone. Handmade by Catsicle, this silly-looking felt and fleece iPhone is made just for kitty. It’s loaded up with “64 gigs of organic catnip,” and even has a pair of dangly headphones for your cat to get tangled up in.

Remember those games from the arcade where you have to try and grab a prize by delicately positioning a claw around your booty of choice? Those things always frustrated the crap out of me. At least this new version of the game looks like a bit more fun, thanks to its plentiful use of robotic technology.

I’ll apologize in advance to any of our readers who find themselves confined to a wheelchair, or who are physically-challenged in any way. But whoever at Mattel thought that this pint-sized Jake Sully in a wheelchair should be called an “action figure” clearly had their head firmly up their arse.

Meet the Microsoft Surface Monster. He’s half-real, half-virtual, 100% adorable. As you may have guessed, the monster was made specifically for the Surface, Microsoft’s super multitouch tabletop computer. Right now the monster can’t do much besides suck bubbles up its butt (and poop them out if its eye is poked), but it does a good job of illustrating the level of interactivity that’s possible with the Surface.

Conceptualized by designaffairs studio with developing countries in mind, the Swirl is a “washing ball” that also serves as a clothes bin, a container for water, and a toy. The idea is that you place your dirty clothes in the Swirl, which can be push or pulled via its detachable handle or even better, kicked along to where you get water.

Japanese retail store Muji has teamed up with LEGO for a special line of toys that combine the world famous bricks with… paper. Basically each set consists of basic rectangular and square LEGO bricks and a bunch of colored paper – I also saw translucent paper in one of the sets – and templates for cutouts.

BigTrak was this cool six-wheeled toy that had built-in memory which allowed you to program a few different moves. Now, the BigTrak will be coming back later this year as the new and improved BigTrak Jr.

If there’s anything that the Final Fantasy series is known for, it’s character design. Notice I said known, not “famous” or “infamous”, because opinions among gamers go either way. Still, even if the human characters still come from the These Would Be Awesome for Cosplay School of Design, you’ve got to give it to the people who came up with the summons.

These fun wind-up desktop critters from Kikkerland are the perfect addition to any cubicle toy collection. Designer Chico Bicalho’s MxyKikker crawler is my personal favorite, what with its dozen or so spinny elbow macaroni looking legs which help it move along your floor.

This new toy is so cool that I’m almost speechless. It’s a quadricopter and it’s got a camera on board! The AR.Drone from Parrot is one amazing toy. It can be controlled via iPhone or iPod Touch thanks to WiFi and it will provide a live video stream of what it sees.

Ah, Russian Roulette. The subject of many jokes and at least one awesome film. But actually trying the game to have some fun with your friends will probably have some undesirable consequences, like dying. Just probably, but still.

If you’re into playing with LEGO minifigs, here’s a great find for making your little LEGO characters just a wee bit more dangerous than just a choking hazard. The guys over at Brickarms make a variety of custom-molded miniature weaponry to put into the hands of your minifigs.

A while back we featured a video of the versatile Tomy i-SOBOT shooting at a bunch of rectangular sponges with a bow and arrow. It turns out that the hurting didn’t stop there, as YouTube user paxshikai eventually came up with an armory’s worth of custom weapons for his/her robot, including a gatling gun.

This new interactive video game is aimed at kids and involves stuffing your Wii-mote down a plush animal’s throat! Fun! Actually, he kind of swallows it and the toy comes with the game. The game uses the stuffed animal as the game’s controller.
