I spent many an hour playing Doom back in the day and anyone who did will have memories of the BFG 9000. That was the gun you wanted when things got really bad. YouTuber ZaziNombies has created an approximation of the ridiculously oversized weapon using the greatest and geekiest of all building materials – LEGO.

Remember back in November when NECA Toys unveiled that epic Halo Needler toy replica? It was listed at around $300 at the time and was made using digital scans from the game. That means it is hella accurate.

Growing up, I was seriously creeped out by the original Child’s Play. The franchise got pretty cheesy after that. Once Child’s Play hit the theaters, I never looked at my brother’s My Buddy doll the same way again.

Thingiverse member Targ was inspired by a fellow designer dutchmogul’s 3D printed rattle mace and made a pair of sword rattles for his baby. Each sword is made of five pieces. Targ printed all of them using PLA filament, with the exception of the jewel, which is made of Taulman’s T-Glase filament.

Doctor Who fans will want to check out this awesome LEGO announcement. The LEGO Facebook page has made it clear than an official TARDIS building set is coming soon. We have seen DIY TARDIS sets over the years, and many of them are much more complex than the official set we see in this image.
