Depending on where you live, you might be wondering why I am already talking about pool toys. Well, I am talking about them because here in Texas, we’ve been done with winter for a while now.

This looks like a yummy cupcake, but it isn’t, at least not exactly. I mean it is a cupcake with sprinkles and rainbows, but it’s not a cupcake for eating. It’s a cupcake for putting in the bathtub and making your skin soft and stuff.

I’m not familiar with Sam Kwok Workshop, but the work done there is fantastic. Just take a look at this Iron Man action figure. It started life as a Hot Toys 1/6 scale Ironman Mark 9 action figure that started out in Tony Stark’s fancy red and gold color scheme What it is now is black with blue trim like it was straight out TRON: Legacy.

I’ve spent a lot of time playing Fallout 4, enough to know super mutants are giant green wussies that die easily. The only ones I really hate are the Suiciders that run up and try to blow you up with a mini nuke.

I was way too young to remember any of the ’70s. I am a ’80s child through and through. I do recall a babysitter having a beat up Star Trek play set in the toy box though.

I’ve seen each of the original Star Wars trilogy films more times than I can count. Somehow, I don’t recall the Nebulon-B medical Frigate at all. Apparently, the ship showed up in The Empire Strikes Back and was the ship Luke was on after having his hand chopped off by Vader. 

If you have lots of money lying around and you need something geeky to do with it, here is your chance. This life-size Boba Fett stands 78.5-inches tall. It weighs in at 110 pounds and will ship next year sometime.

I very much liked Deadpool. I thought it was one of the best Marvel movies I have ever seen and I hope the character shows up in lots more movies in the future. With all the loot Pool raked in, you can bet more movies will be coming with larger budgets. 

Star Wars has been a bit of hit and miss for those of us who grew up in the ’80s. After the phenomenal original trilogy, the prequels sucked so badly that many of us wanted to axe murder George Lucas.

I already thought that Sphero BB-8 toy was pretty awesome. I even had a hex put on our fearless leader when he refused to rig the drawing so I could win the toy a few months back.

I always liked Han Solo; he has been one of my favorite characters in Star Wars since the original trilogy back in the day. I was pretty mad when they (Spoiler Alert) killed Han off in the newest film.

I think one of the few flicks that Quentin Tarantino made that was actually worth watching was Pulp Fiction. I liked Jules the best, easily the most memorable character that Samuel L. Jackson has ever played.

I don’t always like Disney movies. If I never hear Let it Go from Frozen again it will be too soon. I did like Up though. Like many kids, I also tried to float stuff on balloons back in the day.

I’ll probably go see the Ghostbusters reboot when it hits theaters. I very much loved the original and I am always leery of reboots of films that I loved growing up. Sometimes they are fine, other times they suck hardcore.

The kids in our old neighborhood were always having NERF wars. I decided to arm my son up right and bought one of those giant battery powered NERF guns that could sling multiple darts per second.

If you ask me, all movies were better in the ’80s, especially the action flicks. There were original ideas during that era and all we seem to get today is remakes and sequels with few exceptions.
