The first time I ever saw a 3D movie was at a theme park. Each time we go to the beach we end up having to take the kids over to the IMAX theater that is nearby too so we can see something on the giant screen.
The new stadium that the Dallas Cowboys plays in here in Texas has a gigantic video screen hanging from the ceiling and the thing is awesomely huge. There are other massive video walls in use around the country in stadiums and other places where many people congregate to watch sports.
The guys at Japan’s Studio Mongoose are making some serious progress on their massively multi-iPhone display, for the first time showing off movie footage synchronized across multiple iPhones at the same exact moment.
Using a new piece of custom iOS software called SynchroMoviePlayer, they’re able to stream a single movie file, shared across all of the iPhones, and then broken up onto all of the screens.
