Despite numerous Star Wars films being released in the 3+ decades since its release, The Empire Strikes Back is still the best movie in the saga for many of us. Sure, The Force Awakens was very good, but it’s a tall hill to climb to best the 1980 classic.
My only complaint about these Star Wars Snack Bowls is that there is no Sarlacc Pit, which would have made complete sense, but at least you can use these to fill your own bottomless Sarlacc Pit of a stomach.
I’ve always thought it was creepy to hang the heads of dead animals on your wall. They always look like they are watching you as you move around the room. If you are a big fan of The Empire Strikes Back, you might not mind hanging this animal head on your wall.
Who among us hasn’t dreamed about mounting a Rancor head above their fireplace? The problem is, it isn’t easy to travel to another star system and travel back in time to hunt one down. I guess that’s the problem with all of the Star Wars creatures.
All of Luke’s friends know that if you want to scare the heck out of him, you just need to wear a Wampa hat. Hey, it was a traumatic experience. Being hung upside-down on the ceiling of an ice cave is bound to leave it’s scars.
One of my favorite scenes from The Empire Strikes Back is when Luke gets captured by the Wampa and is hanging upside-down from the ceiling of his icy cave. He then uses the Force to pull his lightsaber towards his hand, then slices himself down from the ceiling and proceeds to slash off one of the furry creature’s arms.
You would be forgiven for thinking that the following video is George Lucas’ latest attempt to re-edit Empire Strikes Back, but it’s not. Lucas could never create something so cute. His idea of cute is Jar-Jar and little annoying Anakin.
Star Wars fans will recall back in May that we talked a bit about the Wampa rug that ThinkGeek had unveiled. The thing wasn’t shipping at the time so all we could do was look at the images and dream about a Wampa rug in front of the fireplace.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back, all sorts of cool Star Wars themed merch is starting to find its way to market this year. One of my favorites so far? This soft and fluffy rug that looks like a Wampa.
