This F1 race car is a bit unusual. It is made from hundreds and hundreds of hard drives and that makes it look pretty awesome. Can you believe that those curves all come from hard drive parts?

For some people, 8TB might sound like a lot of storage, but depending on your data usage (*cough* BitTorrent *cough*), it might be just the right amount. I know that I could use a RAID storage device like this one on my workstation desk.

Western Digital has announced a new high-capacity hard drive that slots into its existing Black series lineup. The hard drive should offer more than enough capacity for all ofyour torrented episodes of Doctor Who and your cat memes.

I don’t know why but I always want to have the fastest components in my computer that I can find. It’s not like I can drag race my computer against the guy across the street in some sort of grudge match, but I still have this unnatural desire for the fastest computer hardware around.

I hope that in the future we can just plug in our storage devices into our HDTVs and access the stored media without the need for a separate gadget. I also hope that in the future I’ll have an HDTV.

Western Digital may plaster the name “My Book” onto a line of hard drives, but that doesn’t mean they are actual books, or really, that they even resemble books. But that doesn’t mean they can’t, so long as you’re willing to apply a little elbow grease.
