A Nintendo patent app has surfaced that shows a simple and ingenious way to turn the Wii remote into a touchpad like a notebook computer has. The device appears to be a two-part thing with one section that plugs into the bottom like the Wii Motion Plus did before it was integrated with the controllers.

Hulu Plus Coming to the Nintendo Wii, 3DS
Thus far, the Wii has only had Netflix for streaming content, but that will change soon. Nintendo has announced that Hulu Plus will be available on both the Wii and the 3DS very soon. While we don’t have a launch date yet, we do know that it will hit “both systems by the end of the year.”

New Wii Cuts Price, Loses Gamecube Support, Makes Yoshi Spit Apples
The Wii has remained unaltered for five years, (well, the dust collecting on mine gets thicker everyday) but now Nintendo is getting ready to launch a new version of the console.

Dreamgear Trimount Holds All the Console Crap That Sits on Top of Your TV
I have an Xbox 360 with Kinect, a PS3, and a Wii in my house all on the same TV. I have the Wii sensor on top of the TV and the Kinect under the TV.

Nintendo Wii U Announced, Out in 2012, No Price or Release Date Yet
At this week’s E3, Nintendo took wraps off their next-generation home console, now known as Wii U (or is it “WiiU”?) As predicted, the new system will include both a traditional console unit, and a new controller with a built-in wireless screen and motion controls. The Wii U’s new controller is actually quite large, and features its own 6.2-inch

Rumors are flying that a new console from Nintendo will ship in the fall. According to various sources, Wii 2, Wii HD or “Project Cafe” as it’s known by insiders, will have one incredible controller/remote. While I don’t know how accurate this IGN mockup is, the idea of a 6.2-inch

I thought the Wii was the most awesome game console in the world for about three months. Once the control gimmick wore off, I realized the graphics sucked and the games were boring and went back to my PS3.

Wii UNLimited Edition: Unnecessary But Cool Water-Cooling

Wii UNLimited Edition: Unnecessary But Cool Water-Cooling
I get the point about cooling an Xbox 360. Those suckers overheat pretty quickly, but the Nintendo Wii? I’ve never heard any complaints over that console’s heat, but that didn’t stop Angel OD from the Bit-Tech Forums to water-cool his Wii, in this completely superfluous hack.

Epic Geek Mashup Uses PC, Kinect and Wii Controls

Epic Geek Mashup Uses PC, Kinect and Wii Controls
When it comes to playing video games, I head for the PC anytime it’s a shooter. I like driving and racing games on consoles, but other genres are PC or GTFO for me. One geek has taken his PC and Call of Duty, and then hacked up a system that uses the Kinect, the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control the game.
