Braiiiiiinnns… braaaaainsss, we all know the zombie mantra. I have found the perfect prop for those of you that plan to dress as a zombie this Halloween or if you are just really hungry for a giant brain made out of gummi stuff.

While the Snow White decal that I’ve seen is cute enough, thanks to a nice twist, this zombie Snow White decal will surprise pretty much everyone, thanks to its gruesomeness. It’s a nice spin on a popular decal, and should make your MacBook stand out.

I have talked about the implements of zombie protection that the geek known as Joerg Sprave creates on a few occasions. This is the dude behind the machete flinging slingshot and that slingshot that shoots a bunch of ball bearings.

Google Street View is a cool thing to use to check out your own neighborhood or to go on virtual tours of places you might want to visit at some point. But other than checking out landmarks and seeing your house from street view or satellite view there isn’t much to do with Google Maps as a standalone app.

Fans of AMC’s hit zombie show will be happy to know that in addition to the show being renewed for a second season, the first round of Walking Dead collectible merch has surfaced with McFarlane Toys readying a series of Walking Dead collectible action figures.

I’m not sure what would be worse, being eaten by zombie hoards, or having to live in this shelter. Both of them will probably kill you but the zombies will do it faster than death by lockjaw.

It is widely believed (by the writer of the Wikipedia article on cross-stitch) that cross-stitch was traditionally used merely to embellish household cloths like tablecloths or dishcloths. Cloths cloths cloths. What a weird word. Anyway the structure of the aida cloth used in cross-stitching made it easy to form floral and geometric patterns, but eventually people began making all sorts of images using the style, and not just for adding a bit of life to ordinary linen but also to make decorations meant to be displayed and appreciated on its own.

Next month, Left 4 Dead may just take a turn for the retro with an unofficial 8-bit version. The video of the NES-style Left 4 Dead has been kicking around for a few weeks – and like any good zombie, it has risen from the dead for us to admire and then blast with a shotgun.

I can’t think of much that’s less appetizing than zombies, but maybe that’s just me. Maybe painting gingerbread men as comic versions of the baddies from Left 4 Dead 2 can impart a sense of empowerment, a reversal, a sort of “in Russia, you eat zombies” kind of deal.

This Xbox 360 faceplate isn’t actually bloody (I hope!), but it is certainly evocative of the horror of a zombie apocalypse–something that is becoming a more and more common experience with Xbox games every day. Seems like zombies are everywhere lately, bursting out of zombie games and invading everything else.
