That’s right folks, after conquering social networks and mobile devices, Zynga has wrenched open a portal to the physical realm. Midgard. Middle Earth. Or just plain Earth. The company partnered with Hasbro to release board game versions of their video games that were based on board games in the first place.

I’ve been playing video games since I could say “Atari 2600”. I know, I’m dating myself. But for years and years, the landscape of gaming was determined by what video game companies could cram into the hardware of their next console, and who had the best graphics.

Zynga has teamed up with rapper Dr. Dre to stream the video that goes along with the first single from his coming album within the Mafia Wars game. The single is called Kush, and the game will also get some virtual goods that are exclusive and limited edition.

There are a few things that I don’t get in life. Things like why your wife complains about one of her friends, but if you do it she gets mad. Another thing I don’t get is Farmville.
