15 of the Most Convincing Pieces of Evidence We’ve Had So Far About Aliens

People fall into three distinct categories regarding the question of aliens. A minority are convinced about their existence, while many find the concept ridiculous. But for most of us, we’re unsure and fall in between those two camps. But what if there was compelling evidence suggesting aliens actually exist, and we ignored it?

1. The Chilbolton Incident

A documentary series on the Chilbolton Incident is available on streaming services, and I highly recommend it. The show highlights a strange crop circle that many believe is a message from an alien race. In 1974, NASA sent a message into space containing details about humans, including population size and DNA. 27 years later, a crop circle near the Chilbolton Observatory in England appears to include a detailed reply.

2. Roswell

The truth behind the Roswell Incident of 1947 will likely never come out. The official story is that the crash involved a weather balloon, but more alien conspiracy theories surround this case than any other. Many witnesses suggest a flying saucer was downed at the site in New Mexico, while supporters of alien existence cite this incident as clear proof that we are not alone.

3. Habitable Planets

Along with the many sightings and experiences, other pieces of evidence suggest that aliens exist. For example, scientists already know of potentially habitable planets. Astronomers have discovered exoplanets with habitable zones. When we attempt to consider the sheer size of the universe and the additional planets beyond our detection, the argument for life elsewhere becomes hard to ignore.

4. Rendlesham Forest: 1980

The United Kingdom’s most infamous alien sightings occurred 33 years after Roswell, in a remote Suffolk forest. On December 26th and 28th, 1980, U.S. airforce personnel at RAF Woodbridge reported seeing strange lights over Rendlesham. Many similar reports appeared amid claims that an alien craft had crash-landed in the forest. Similarly to Roswell, there is a belief that the truth behind the Rendlesham Forest incident is buried.

5. The Madonna with Saint Giovannino

There are theories that our ancient ancestors knew much more about the existence of alien life than we do. These suggestions go back to prehistoric times, while many still believe humans couldn’t have constructed the pyramids. Another potential piece of evidence lies in the 15th-century painting “The Madonna with Saint Giovannino.” The artwork’s focal point is the Virgin Mary, but what’s that disc-like object hovering in the sky? It was centuries before any manufactured flight, so this might be the first-ever UFO sighting.

6. 2007: Channel Islands Sightings

Reports of UFO sightings have more substance and authority when two or more different sources are involved. That was the case in 2007 when cigar-shaped craft appeared over two separate Channel Islands. On April 23, pilot Ray Bowyer and his passengers saw the craft on a flight from Southampton to Alderney. Their sightings were backed up on the island of Sark and by the Jersey Airport Radar Control. It’s tough to believe that they could all have been wrong.

7. Phoenix Lights: 1997

Multiple sightings appear in an earlier incident in the United States. People across Arizona and Phoenix reported seeing a giant V-shaped UFO. It had five spherical lights dominating the sky, blocking out all-natural light. On March 13, 1997, the U.S. Air Force began to drop military flares, and many believe this was an attempt to discredit eyewitnesses. Once again, the Phoenix sightings are widespread, and the reports are so similar that they make compelling evidence.

8. Life Survives in Harsh Earth Environments

Many of today’s species have escaped human detection for millions of years. The deepest depths of our oceans have revealed many new creatures, while others are yet to be discovered. Life on Earth exists in specific environments that scientists thought impossible. It’s another fact supporting the possibility of life on other planets.

9. Belgian UFO Wave

Cynics often state that UFO sightings are almost exclusive to America, but this story proves the theory wrong. Another compelling example occurred in Belgium in 1990 when thousands of individuals told a similar story. Sightings began in November 1989 but peaked on March 30 and 31 the following year. Around 13,500 people reported seeing UFOs chased by two F-16s. The sheer weight of eye-witness reports makes the Belgian incident one of the most important for alien believers.

10. Probability Supports Alien Existence

As a numbers game, the suggestion that aliens exist has significant support. Our galaxy contains around three hundred billion stars. Beyond our sphere, there are approximately 200 hundred billion galaxies. Probability isn’t definite, but many highly regarded scientists are convinced. Maggie Aderin-Pocock of the BBC’s Sky at Night program states that aliens “almost definitely” exist.

11. 2006: O’Hare International Airport

Multiple eye-witness reports verified another UFO sighting in 2006. At Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, several individuals, including 12 United Airlines employees, saw a saucer-shaped craft hover for around two minutes. The object was silent, and after it completed its mission, it shot up through the clouds at great speed. Those witnesses also reported that the craft left a clear circular hole through those clouds as it departed.

12. Anchorage Incident: 1986

Alaska was the scene of another convincing UFO sighting in 1986. The crew of a Japan Air Lines Boeing 747 cargo plane reported two unidentified objects following the plane. As the craft got closer, intense heat was experienced inside the cabin. Captain Tenji Kerauchi is called a crank and a “UFO repeater,” but he wasn’t the sole eye-witness.

13. Elaborate Crop Circles

There are many different examples that we could have inserted in this section. Cynics say crop circles are made using a system of planks and ropes, but this theory has been disproved. It’s hard to explain how humanity could make such elaborate shapes as those seen in Norfolk in July 2006.

14. Meteorite Microbes

Alien life forms don’t necessarily refer to little green humanoids or men in black. Any life from another planet is technically “alien,” even if it isn’t exciting. In 2011, NASA scientist Richard Hoover published a paper that made claims about fossilized bacteria in meteorites. It’s alien life, but not as we’d like to know it.

15. Westall UFO Sighting

We head Down Under for our final UFO sighting in this roundup. In April 1966, numerous witnesses at Westall School in Melbourne, Australia, reported seeing a flying object with a round dome descend into a neighboring field. Around 200 people saw the craft, and, once again, it’s almost impossible to imagine that so many individuals could have been wrong.
