LEGO Releasing 5,201-Piece Avengers Tower Set: Avengers, Assemble!

He's disassembled countless appliances and managed to put a few back together, and one still works. Moving instantly into the number 2 spot on my Christmas list this year (right behind a Porsche 911), LEGO has announced a 5,201-piece Avengers Tower build set to be released on November 24th. The set will cost $500, stands 36″ tall, and includes 31 minifigs! That makes it the set containing the most minifigs ever made, beating the LEGO Death Star’s previous record of 26!

The entire rear panel of windows can be removed to reveal rooms inside so you can recreate your favorite scenes from the movies. That is certainly a lot of windows to build. I didn’t count them, but if I had to guess, I’d say there are at least a thousand, and after building this set, there’s no way a home renovation company wouldn’t hire me with ‘Completed LEGO Avengers Tower set’ on my résumé.

Will I actually get the set for Christmas? Not a chance. My wife already told me I haven’t been good enough for anything but socks and underwear this year, and there’s no way Santa feels any different. Allegedly he sees all, although hopefully Christmas night, he’s too busy delivering presents to notice all the booby traps I’m going to set for him.
