LEGO Unveils Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage: Whistle While You Build

With over 17 years of writing experience, Jonathan has had a passion for all things tech-related, ever since watching Inspector Gadget as a child. He's disassembled countless appliances and managed to put a few back together, and one still works. When not writing, he can often be found playing video games or accidentally hurting himself in the garage.

Just unveiled by LEGO, the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage build set will be released on March 4th. The $220 set comes with 2,228 pieces to build the gang’s cottage, wishing well, and Snow White’s sleeping chamber. It also includes ten minifigs (all seven dwarfs, Snow White, Prince Charming, and the Evil Queen in her witch form). Should they have made the dwarfs special edition mini-er minifigs? Even with their slightly shorter unmovable legs they’re almost as tall as Snow White!

The cottage has a hinged middle section and open rear to reveal a beautifully appointed interior, complete with a kitchen, sleeping area, and attic storage. The kitchen even uses a battery-powered light brick in the fireplace to make it appear there’s a fire burning. That’s a nice touch.

I think it’s the thatched roof that really does it for me. It just makes the cottage look so warm and homey feeling. Would I live in a house in the woods? Good question, and that depends on whether my wife would live in a cottage in the woods. Because if she would, I would, but I’m not moving into the woods alone just to get eaten by bears still angry about Goldilocks’ past indiscretions.
