The soon to be released Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System features a built-in display capable of showing title and track information for the currently playing digital music track. Data for the backlit LCD is fed via the speakers’ USB connection. The one caveat is that you must use Microsoft Windows Media Player, Apple iTunes or MusicMatch Jukebox to take advantage of this nifty feature.
The speakers also feature touch-sensitive playback controls, and a digital clock display capability. An integrated 30W (RMS) per channel bi-amplifier splits power between the system’s 1-inch dome tweeters and 3-inch woofers, providing enough juice for room-filling sound. Priced at $149.99 USD, the system is expected to be released this September.
