Life-Size Replica Of Elden Ring’s Dark Moon Greatsword

With over 17 years of writing experience, Jonathan has had a passion for all things tech-related, ever since watching Inspector Gadget as a child. He's disassembled countless appliances and managed to put a few back together, and one still works. When not writing, he can often be found playing video games or accidentally hurting himself in the garage.

In what would unquestionably be the centerpiece of my fireplace mantle, Panda Studio has created a life-size replica of the Dark Moon Greatsword as seen in the video game Elden Ring. The sword, cast in resin and hand-painted, measures a respectable 59″ long and 13″ wide at the hilt. Limited to just 88 units, the greatsword is available with or without a display plaque etched with the Elden Ring image and costs $459 for the sword alone before shipping. And considering this is a giant 59″ resin sword, I doubt it will be shipping for $5.99.

Considered one of the best swords in the game (particularly for Intelligence builds), the sword is awarded by the witch Ranni after completing her rather involved quest line. I would be lying if I said I was able to obtain it. Or hardly any of the legendary weapons. It was hard for me to stay alive in the game at all. It’s like everything in the Lands Between wanted to kill me.

Will I break all the furniture in the house by swinging my Dark Moon Greatsword replica around? No, because my Dark Moon Greatsword replica will have to be made out of cardboard if I want my marriage to survive. Things got pretty rocky after the Zelda Master Sword replica I bought in 2018; I feel like I need to keep my sword replica purchases to once a decade for the sake of my relationship.
