However, among so many options, only a few satiate your need for a weekend of staying in bed and consuming hours of media. But don’t worry because we’ve got you covered.
1. Glee (2009 – 2015)
If you’re an early 2000s baby, this series is a classic that never gets old. Glee is all about a sense of belonging during your high school era when everyone just wants to fit in. This hit comedy-drama by Ryan Murphy features an enthusiastic Spanish teacher who gathers a group of misfits to form the school’s choir club. The more you watch it, the more invested you become.
2. Gossip Girl (2007 – 2012)
When we talk about classics, we can’t leave out Gossip Girl. Starring Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf, this teenage show centers around the drama of being one of Manhattan’s elite. With six fantastic seasons of gripping plot twists and epic betrayals, this one hits all the right spots.

As the story progresses, romance begins to brew between him and detective Kate Beckett, turning into a classic “will they, won’t they?” situation that keeps you on your toes.
4. The Vampire Diaries (2009 – 2017)
There’s no doubt the audience watches The Vampire Diaries for the enigmatic bad boy Damon and his golden brother Stefan. In this stellar fantasy-based show, both brothers are stuck in a love triangle with Elena Gilbert, a high school student who initially loses both her parents. The ups and downs will leave you completely hooked.
5. How I Met Your Mother (2005 – 2014)
With nine juicy seasons, How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom featuring Ted talking to his kids about his adventures that led up to meeting their mother. While the ending left people puzzled and angered, the show gives you a complete 360-degree view of how you meet people and how they end up becoming an integral part of your life.
6. Dynasty (2017 – 2022)
A reboot of the original 80s show, Dynasty is filled with soapy drama and stereotypical characters. You’ll either love this over-the-top series or absolutely hate it. If you haven’t heard about Riverdale, you live under a rock or don’t have internet access. This coming-of-age series is so bad that it’s almost good. The seasons start with a group of teenagers and the drama in their little town, but the more you watch, the more bizarre it gets with demonic storylines, musicals, and murder mysteries. It’s basically a genre vomit packed with everything you can think of.
8. Love Is Blind (2020)
Imagine marrying someone you’ve only talked to through a wall for a few days. That’s the plot of this reality series. The show’s premise is whether love is blind and doesn’t care about physical appearances. With several versions in various countries, this show will keep you waiting for “I do” until the end.
9. House M.D. (2004 – 2012)
When it comes to gross misinformation, House M.D. takes the win. Yet, this hit medical drama is too entertaining to miss. The show features Hugh Laurie as a physically impaired doctor who’s entitled and snarky yet is a complete genius when it comes to diagnosing patients. His unorthodox methods and conjuring symptoms out of thin air are unrealistic yet so much fun. This, coupled with the romantic tensions with a fellow doctor, makes it all the more addictive.
10. Charmed (1998 – 2006)
This fantasy series shaped 90s babies. It stars three Hawaiian sisters who discover they’re descendants of a long line of good witches fighting evil. Even though it’s incredibly cheesy and campy, the show brings back a sense of nostalgia with its ghost-busting and demon-slaying narrative.
11. Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2007 – 2021)
While discussing guilty pleasures, missing out on the Kardashian family is a sin. This reality show features drama, plot twists, back-stabbing, screaming, breakdowns, etc. It’s like watching a train wreck; you just can’t look away at the mess they’ve made for entertainment.
12. Bridgerton (2020 – Present)
Netflix really stirred the pot with Bridgerton, leaving people divided. Whether you love it or hate it, it’s entertaining. The show follows the love story of Daphne Bridgeton in the first season and her older brother in the second. It’s all about high society in Regency England. From dramatic plot twists keeping you on the edge of your seat to sparks of romance capturing your heart, it’s certainly a rollercoaster ride.
13. One Tree Hill (2003 – 2012)
This teen drama was one of the most addictive shows ever, despite its numerous plot holes and over-dramatized storyline. Starring two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, the show centers around the school’s basketball team and the drama surrounding siblings competing against each other for a spot. By the ninth season, you’ll find yourself knee-deep in comas, guns, and graduation turmoil.
14. Outer Banks (2020 – Present)
Created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, the action-adventure show is set in a quaint coastal town along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. A group of working-class teens go on a witch hunt to find out what happened to John B’s father. While critics have responded reasonably well to the show, the entire show tries to mimic the average teen drama, with the story making no sense at some points. In spite of all this, it’s definitely worth a Netflix marathon night.
15. Scorpion (2012 – 2018)
With the steamy on-screen romance between Walter and Paige and the typical will-they-wont-they trope, this show is incredibly cheesy yet entertaining. It stars a group of exceptionally high-IQ individual misfits trying to save the world with their intelligence. Every episode is a new adventure, and some of them make no sense whatsoever.
