Barisieur Coffee Alarm Clock: The Best Part of Waking up…

by Conner Flynn

With the Barisieur Alarm Clock, you can wake up and smell the coffee, literally. The concept was designed by London-based industrial designer Josh Renouf and this clock doubles as a coffee brewer.

The alarm clock looks like your typical rectangular digital alarm clock that we’ve seen a million times, but with a high-end coffee maker on top. The base is finished in American walnut. The knobs are on the side and there is a switch for the coffee brewer next to the digital display. There is even a small drawer on the front for storage for your sugar and ground coffee beans.

The idea is that it first gently wakes you up with the sounds of steel ball bearings vibrating the water through induction heating, then with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Not a bad way to wake up at all.
