Classic Midway Arcade Games Playable Online
September 26th, 2006
The folks over at Midway have been so kind as to convert a number of old arcade classics into Macromedia Shockwave versions. (I do wish they were in Flash, but they’re worth the extra download of the Shockwave Player)
The games are available for free play on Midway’s website and are very good emulations of the originals.
- Available games include:
- Bubbles
- Defender (1 & 2)
- Joust
- Rampage (my favorite)
- Robotron 2084
- Satan’s Hollow
- Sinistar
- Spyhunter
- Tapper

Great Retro games, thanks!
Rampage is great, I just got the miday arcade classics for the psp which includes mortal kombat.
I love how these ‘Midway’ games that were released on those arcade units at Costco were mostly Williams games. Defender and Robotron were probably the most popular, but without the Pac-man, Centipede or Donkey Kong games I don’t know how much return value a lot of these games have – flash, shockwave, or the original machine. Bubbles in particular is a pretty awful games.
why can’t I play robotron anywhere?
