Sculpteo: Online 3d Printing Hits the U.S.a.

by Paul Strauss

Got an idea you’d like to prototype? A 3D model you want to see realized? Well, there’s good news with today’s announcement that Sculpteo, an online 3D printing service, is now available in the United States.

The Paris-based Sculpteo lets you upload 3D files in OBJ, 3DS, STL, SKP and other formats. They’ve also got a growing library of 3D models in their online gallery that you can choose from and have them reprint for you. They can even handle forms with moving parts.

Objects can range in size from 2-inches to 10-inches, and you can choose from either a durable white plastic or a full-color version suitable for display, but not for jointed or thin objects due to their plaster-like consistency. Prices vary depending on the size and volume of the materials used, and the Sculpteo site automagically calculates the price in real time.

So what are you waiting for? Customize and render your first 3D printed possession now over at Sculpteo now.

Hello and good day my name is Richard Brown. Well i will need the Hanes t-shirt with 50/50 cotton and the size medium. I will need them in plain white color, and the quantity is 1500. Let me know the price for each and what the total cost will be for 1500 pieces including tax. Also the shirts are going for an orphanage event and will have the Fedex pick up the shirts from your store and have them shipped to where they should be needed, after full payment is made and shirts are ready to go.

    Please Advice.
Thanks and will look to hear from you soon.
    Richard Brown.
