Star Wars Rock Climbing Accessories Might Help You Escape the Rancor

Some people think that rock climbing walls are fun, but to me it sounds as mundane as a game of golf. In one, you hit a ball, go find the ball and hit it again. In the other, you just… climb. It doesn’t sound like a great time to me. But these Star Wars rock climbing accessories might help make it more fun.
They come from UK-based Hang Fast Adventure Structures. Instead of grasping onto a rock shaped thing, you can now hoist yourself up using the Death Star or R2-D2’s head. If I had a whole wall of Droid heads and Death Stars, I might actually want to climb it.

They also have some triangular pieces, one of which has the Millenium Falcon on it, but it doesn’t look so hot in that shape. A Star Destroyer would have been better. If you are a rock climber who is also a Star Wars nerd, you might want to check them out here.

Some people think that rock climbing walls are fun, but to me it sounds as mundane as a posting on a blog. In one, you go out into the beauty of the natural world and participate in a sport that not only increases physical capability but requires abstract thought and a tacit understanding of body mechanics, then go find the another completely differently shaped/textured rock in a completely different biome and climb it again. In the other, you just… sit.

Spot on sir, solid representation of something I’m relatively sure you’ve never done. I mean that less as a rebuke and more as a ‘I can dismiss everything you like by cutting it down into the simplest single-word description of it without looking at it any further, so how about not doing that and instead trying it before hating on it’ type statement. Appreciate the post though! <3 these holds do look interesting

Awesome holds! However, the author of this article clearly has never actually attempted rock climbing. What’s the point of writing an article about cool rock climbing holds when you’re just going to bash the sport anyways? Lame!
