Crate Modular Storage: From Milk Crates to Cabinets and Drawers

If you think milk crates are just for transporting milk around, then think again. Because if industrial designer Jenny Drinkard has her way, then we’ll be using them for DIY modular storage as well.
Jenny took a neat and creative idea and put it to work, turning milk crates into parts that can be assembled and put together to form furniture like cabinets, shelves, cubby holes, and drawers. The system also comes with accessories like wheels, legs, and protrusion to hang stuff like corkboards and cable clips.
Jenny took her design to Quirky to be produced and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Crate system is currently available for purchase online, and will be available in Target outlets beginning July 1st.
