Official Doctor Who TARDIS PC: Intel on the Inside

by Lambert Varias

Time Lords and Ladies, UK-based PC supplier is now selling a high-end and officially licensed Doctor Who computer. Its aluminum case is designed to look like the TARDIS, meaning it looks like an old London police box. Meaning it’s also for fans of old London police boxes.

The case is made of 45 individually-cut aluminum pieces and has three main parts: the roof, the body and the timey wimey bits optical drive, which is hidden behind the ‘Police Box’ sign.

The beacon on top serves as the computer’s power switch.

You can order and configure the Doctor Who TARDIS computer from Scan Computers’ website. Prices start at ¬£935.99 (~$1,510 USD), which is an absurd price wherever and whenever you’re from. Especially when you consider that the base configuration¬†traveld back in time to get you a 3.1GHz dual core Intel Pentium CPU. Ouch. At least it has 8GB RAM and a Blu-ray drive as stock parts, and you can upgrade to a core i3, i5 or i7 CPU.
