Artist Creates Minecraft Village Out Of Chocolate

He's disassembled countless appliances and managed to put a few back together, and one still works. When not writing, he can often be found playing video games or accidentally hurting himself in the garage.

Because edible games are the best games, artist Fan Sumu decided to turn Minecraft into an edible dessert, creating hundreds of chocolate blocks and stacking them into a delicious village scene. I don’t know about you, but I would love the opportunity to eat my way through that village.

The village is predominately built from tempered chocolate blocks (chocolate which was slowly heated and then cooled to allow for even crystallization of the fat, resulting in a smooth, hard finish), but some gelatin, sprinkles, and marzipan were also used in the construction. The grass and pigs are my favorites, but I’d also like to eat those trees.

Fan created the village layout using a grid in Photoshop to determine how many of each kind of block she would need for each layer before assembling the whole thing. How long would it take me to eat the entire village? That depends on how hungry I am. I’m kidding — two hours, tops.
