Skeptical about the PSP Go? Apparently, someone is worried you might be, since Sony has released a memo stating that the system will have 16,000 various downloadable items available at launch. That’s a pretty impressive number, at least on paper.
These paintings by pixel artist Jude Buffum show what happens when cute 80s kids toys take each other on in a battle to the death, Mortal Kombat style. Looks like CareBear has ripped out Teddy Ruxpin’s heart in an awesome finishing move known as the “heart attack”.
It looks like there are Big Daddies for all sorts of BioShock fans: cobbled-together Big Daddies, beaded Big Daddies, and even edible Big Daddies (which look great, despite the appetite-killing mental image), and now? A sculpted version.
Little Horn speakers pack an audiophile’s wet dream into an elegant form. According to makers Specimen Products, the speakers’ supersized phonograph-like horns “posses a life-like soundstage unlike anything ever heard.” I don’t know what a soundstage is, but it seems that the way the horns are shaped enables lower frequency sound to spread out in a bitchin’ manner.
You know how all the vampires on True Blood drink bottles of artificial blood so they don’t have to get their nutrients from sucking on humans? Now you can enjoy the same trendy-vampire pleasure by guzzling down a bag of deliciously drinkable BLOOD.
That’s right: each Spock Monkey is a combination of three halves, resulting in one logical, emotionally detached yet huggable primate. I used Vulcan math to calculate Spock Monkey’s constitution.
Each Spock Monkey is lovingly handmade, so each of them is unique.
If you’ve ever wondered how Ryu and the rest of the warriors who like to battle on thoroughfares would look like if they were transported to Megaman’s original 8-bit world, you probably have too much time on your hands.
I spotted this great Halo-inspired Xbox 360 casemod over on deviantART this morning. Modder EvilDan created this scene of Master Chief and an energy sword-wielding Covenant Elite on the top (or side – depending on how you look at it) of a modded 360 for a friend.
As if its throwback looks weren’t flashy enough, this boombox bag also has built-in speakers. Plug in your MP3 player and you’ll really grab everyone’s attention.
Unfortunately we don’t have specs on the speakers, but judging from the picture I don’t think we can expect top-quality audio from them.
If you thought that the derelicts they have walking around city streets donning smelly mascot costumes and trying to hand you flyers for hot dogs and prepaid cell phone cards weren’t creepy enough, have I got something for you!
Don’t fret if that title doesn’t make any sense. This bacon-scented soap celebrating reddit’s admittedly adorable mascot doesn’t make any sense, either, except that, well, the alien is cute, and bacon is delicious. But with those truisms out of the way, there’s no explaining the bacon reddit soap.
Maybe I haven’t been looking in the right places, but I haven’t noticed an overwhelming amount of crafts inspired by the tragically short-lived Firefly and the accompanying movie, Serenity. Even if I had, however, this little knit rendition of the ship would probably trump most of them.
This jolly little robot gets around not by walking or crawling, but by rolling along on a single unicycle wheel.
Murata’s Seiko-chan (Murata Girl) self-balancing unicycle robot first came onto the scene back in 2008, but has recently been upgraded so it can tool along 3 times faster than the original.
The iPhone app store is loaded up with tens of thousands of apps ranging from video games, to GPS software to fart apps. But here’s an application that can actually change lives. Proloquo2Go is an amazing iPhone and iPod Touch app that helps people with speech impairments communicate wherever they go.
