The latest iteration of Acer’s Predator gaming PC still has its trademark Decepticon look, but it’s dominant black makes it a bit more menacing than its predominantly orange predecessors.
The G7750-A64 is powered by an Intel Core i7-960 3.20GHz processor, 6 GB DDR3 RAM (3 slots with 2GB RAM each, max. 12 GB), and two Nvidia GTX260 graphics cards. It will go Usain Bolt on Crysis. It’s also equipped with a 1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, a DVD Super Multi drive, what seems like a billion-in-one card reader, 6 USB ports, 2 Ethernet ports, 2 ESATA ports, 5(?!) audio out ports, 4 DVI-I ports, 4 3.5″ hard drive bays, and a partridge in a pear tree.
Although the Predator doesn’t come with a monitor, it does come with a sweet G15 keyboard & G9 mouse combo. The G7750-A64 will be available in Japan next month and is priced at ¥289,800 ($3,170 USD). According to an Acer outsider, the Predator was initially priced at $70, but the addition of 5 audio out ports jacked up the production costs.
