Tweet Sleeve: Wear Your Emotions on Your Sleeve

Tweet Sleeve: Wear Your Emotions on Your Sleeve
I think social networking is sometimes like over-sharing. Really, do you really need to share every little insignificant detail of your life with the entire universe? Now here’s something that reveals even more about your inconsequential tweets – clothes that tell the whole world how you feel! The odd thing is that this bit of wearable technology by Vanessa Sorenson is that it doesn’t actually detect your mood using any kind of fancy emotion-sensing sensors.

Gundam Cafe: the Otaku’S Starbucks

Gundam Cafe: the Otaku’S Starbucks
The Gundam Cafe opened in Akihabara today, and it looks sweet. The cafe’s interiors are sexy, there’s Gundam art everywhere, and there’s even Gundam bread. You can’t go wrong with Gundam bread. Akihabara News checked out their new neighbors and took a ton of pics: The Gundam Cafe is located at the “newly designed Akihabara area accessible from the JR Station at the Denkigai Exit and just below the Yamanote line,” so if you’re ever in the area be sure to drop by, because I would kill for a chance to be there.

I’m pretty sure you’ll never see Steve Jobs wear this shirt. And it’s not because he prefers turtlenecks. That’s Apple’s other Steve, Steve Wozniak, wearing a shirt that refers to Gray Powell’s infamous blunder. Powell is the now famous Apple engineer who last month went to a Redwood City, Calif.,

Han Solo’S Greedo Killer Gun Gets Papercraft Treatment, Still Would Beat Greedo in a Fight
Remember that scene in Star Wars where that ugly, trash-talking green slimeball Greedo gets in an argument with Han Solo, whips out his gun and ends up getting shot? Now you can recreate that scene (with your friend playing the part of Greedo, that of course) with this awesome papercraft DL-44 gun – the same weapon donned by Solo in that fateful scene. The intricate papercraft kit from Uhu02 has every detail of the original, right down to the trigger, scope, and mysterious looking knobs on the sides of the gun. Assuming you’re adept with an X-Acto, tape and glue, you can make one for yourself by joining the Zealot Hobby Forum, becoming an active user, then downloading the pattern here.

Motorized wheelchairs, while very practical, are very expensive as well. Designer Ju Hyun Lee created the NEWS concept to reap the benefits of a motorized wheelchair without the prohibitive costs. The motorized add-on would attach to conventional wheelchairs, fusing man and machine, Power Xtreme! The system’s modular nature saves money in two ways: first of all, it’s cheaper than a full motorized wheelchair.

Got Some Spare Cat5 Lying Around? Why Not Make a Self-Portrait?
If you’ve got a bunch of spare network cable or wires lying around? Maybe you should try and make something constructive out of them, instead of letting them accumulate dust. How about a self-portrait? That’s just what Los Angeles artist Kasey McMahon did. This piece is called Connected and it looks awesome.

Bought the iPad, but Too Cheap to Buy a Stand?
