If you live in an area where people hunt during different times of the year, you know how hard it can be to tell which direction a gunshot comes from. If you are outside for a walk and hear a gunshot it might be nothing more than a curiosity for you and knowing where it came from isn’t that big of a deal.

While it might look cute, Celluon‘s Evomouse is actually pretty useful. The dog-like device uses an IR sensor to track your finger movements, turning any flat surface into a virtual trackpad, yearning to replace your mouse.

YouTube user ProtoDojo wanted a more precise way of controlling his favorite iPad game Reckless Racing. Fortunately for him, he has the modding chops to actually do something about it. So he came up with RoboTouch, which now allows him to play games on the iPad using a NES controller.

Purveyor of all things geek Entertainment Earth is now selling this limited-edition movie version of Green Lantern’s Power Battery. Made of cold-cast porcelain, it was created using the same cast that was used to make the actual prop used in the upcoming film, and also comes with Green Lantern’s power ring.

The aluminum- cased Samsung Series 9 has been touted as a serious MacBook Air alternative. Weighing just 2.88 pounds, it’s virtually the same heft as the 13-inch MacBook Air, and at .64″ thick, it’s even slightly thinner.

Harman Audio has added a new set of headphones to their AKG line that is renowned for the audio clarity and quality. The new set of headphones is called the AKG GHS-1 and they are lightweight and designed with long wearing comfort in mind.

While we usually only feature timepieces with tech geek appeal, this watch was too hard to pass up. As far as watches go in the high-end market Ulysse Nardin has some of the coolest and most expensive watches around.

Is it possible to wirelessly transmit a video signal to any screen?  That’s what YouTube user BITcrash 44 claims to have done. Supposedly he has an invented a pair of devices that are able to send video – not a live one though – from an iPhone 4 to any screen.

While Microsoft might not approve of Nyko’s Intercooler, if you’re worried about your Xbox 360 Slim overheating, you haven’t got many options available. However, unlike the original console, the Xbox 360 Slim isn’t supposed to overheat much, but you know what, it’s probably better to be safe than sorry.

We’ve all been in a situation where you don’t have any power and you’d like to listen to some tunes. It looks like the Trembo Trunks kickstarter project is seeking to remedy the situation by offering these new powerless speakers.

While most of us are off playing with our fancy new toys, it’s sometimes nice to dust off a game of Frogger, Pac-Man or Space Invaders and get your retro game on. While there are certainly ways to play these games on your PC, Mac or Linux box by downloading MAME, it’s kind of cool to see a standalone device capable of playing classic arcade games.

Now before all of you PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii fans start hating on me for that title, let me say I’m not taking sides in this argument. I own all three consoles and an original iPad, so I’m as unbiased as anyone.

I am starting to think that there is no end to what a geek with some ingenuity and a Kinect can’t hack. Some geeks at MakerFaire over in the UK got bored and ran across a dude that had built some Tesla coils.
