Ok, I know the difference between an alligator and a crocodile, but that title sounded good so I went with it. We’ve seen plenty of unique guitars, but this long monstrosity is pretty strange. It was created by Rhinehart of Athens, Ohio who sculpts and paints all kinds of eccentric and fully-functional guitars.
He also has fish-shaped guitars, some in the shape of a horses rear, birds, dragons and this here gator. The alligator is a lap steel guitar. It is modeled after the Fender 8-string Stringmaster and features 2 pickups with volume, tone, and blend for getting the perfect tone. It was carved from 3 pieces of Douglas fir, and is selling for $3299(USD).
This would be perfect for those bands born on the bayou. If I were in a band and I had this guitar, I would make a new genre known as swamp rock. How could your music not be all about alligators from that point on?
