PD.ID Alerts You If Your Drink Has Been Drugged

You might think you’re safe when you’re hanging out with your friends and with friends of a friend, but that isn’t always the case. Who knows what unscrupulous folks could be dumping into your drink when you had your back turned or while you were dancing up a storm on the dance floor?

That’s where PD.ID comes in.

It’s a small device that will let you know if your drink has been tampered with, for lack of a better way to put it. Simply stick it into your drink, and the LED light will blink to indicate if it’s clean or if it’s been drugged.

The Pd.id’s compact design makes it easy to carry around, since you can just stuff it into your purse or pocket. What’s even more impressive is that it can identify the drug that’s been added to your drink in some cases.

The reusable device can also be paired and used with a smartphone, where it can access a database of drink profiles as well as send you a text or call to inform you that your drink has been tampered with.

The Pd.id is currently up for funding on Indiegogo, where a minimum pledge of $100(USD) will get you one of your very own.
