Etsy store LitUpInteriorDesign makes lamps out of used objects and toys. Some of their best designs involve Dragon Ball Z action figures, where the bulb is set up in such a way that they stand in for the characters’ energy attack.
I’m sure there are small companies and individuals that make bootleg Dragon Ball minifigures. The upcoming Figme, on the other hand, are straight outta Bandai. They’re also about the same height as minifigs – around 1.5″ – but I don’t know if their hands and feet are compatible with LEGO pieces.
Kids, did you know that before it became Power Creep: The Anime, Dragon Ball actually revolved around balls that summoned a dragon? Bandai reminds us of the mega franchise’s Aladdin stories with this Shenron body pillow.
iam8bit recently concluded Postcards from Space, an art exhibition featuring postcards for fictional locations from books, comics, video games, toys and sci-fi and fantasy shows and movies. Fortunately those of us who didn’t make it to the exhibit can get copies of the postcards from iam8bit’s online store.
Bandai already sells Dragon Ball scouter replicas, but YouTuber Kier Simmons’ take on the iconic accessory has a much higher power level. It’s still unfinished, but it already looks badass.
Kier hasn’t gone into detail about the hardware he’s using, only that he stuffed it into an old scouter toy.
To raise awareness about unhealthy eating, illustrator Alex Solis started Famous Chunkies. It’s a series of caricatures of superheroes, villains and other popular characters that illustrate what they would be like if they were fat.
I’d totally be down with becoming chunky Ryu if it meant I could conjure burgers.
Not all cosplay has to be complicated or difficult to wear. Case in point, this awesome replica of one of the beach shirts worn by Dragon Ball‘s resident pervert Master Roshi. Now all you need is a pair of red-framed sunglasses, a bald head, a white beard and a turtle shell.
Costume specialist Cospa will be selling a Dragon Ball Z Kai cap with a built-in scouter. You can flip the scouter’s lens up and inside the cap when you’re not assessing opponents. Because if you need a scouter to measure a farmer’s power level, you’re just showing that you’re not confident in your own strength.
