With Movember behind us, we’re now in the thick, hairy middle of Decembeard, and for those of you without sufficient time to grow an entire beard, I have a slightly unorthodox solution.

It’s amazing how things with tentacles can range from cute, to disgusting to creepy. Cthulhu and his tentacle-face definitely falls into that last bucket.

Sure, we have every version of Monopoly that we could want right? Well, maybe now we do thanks to The Doom That Came To Atlantic City. It isn’t really a new version of Monopoly, but it just sort of spoofs it, with a bit of an Arkham Horror theme.

I know, I know the pun doesn’t make sense, but so does Cthulhu. And that’s the theme of this product so I was actually being clever. I just didn’t realize I was being clever that way.

If you’re going to really rock out with an electric guitar, you deserve to look like a bad-ass, right. Well, behold the bad-assiest guitar out there – formed in the image of the mighty Cthulhu!

While I still think that the Godzilla and Pac-Man trees are the greatest geeky holiday trees of all time, this festively decorated Cthulhu Christmas tree comes in a close third place on my list.

Anyone who’s a fan of the Cthulhu Mythos and HP Lovecraft will enjoy putting this Peeping Cthulhu Suction Cup Plush in the back window of their car. It’s the combination of things, the cuteness of the plush toy, the fact that Cthulhu was never meant to be cute, and the fact that most people driving behind you will have no idea what the hell it is that makes this one a winner.

If I saw someone coming down the street wearing this Cthulhu-inspired ski hat, I’d either think they were nuts, or they were really nuts.

What happens when you combine those awesome Isiah Mustafa Old Spice commercials with the darkly disturbed world of H.P. Lovecraft? Sheer, mentally-insane awesomeness, that’s what. Enjoy…

In the words of its creator, the Cthulhu Mythos Chess Set “feature indescribable forces of madness and the grotesque,” and “will strain the sanity of the stoutest soul.” I’m just trying to figure out which piece is what.
