Think a billion is a big number? Well by most comparisons it certainly is, but a googol (10¹⁰⁰) is so astronomically large that it contains 10⁹¹ number of billions. But did its ridiculously large size stop YouTuber Look Mum No Computer (aka Sam Battle) from building an electronic counter to try to count to it?

There’s definitely something cool about juxtaposing your high-tech glass and metal iPhone with some good old-fashioned wood. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this idea executed, but this wood back has a clean elegance to it, and really accentuates the natural grain of the wood.

It’s the ultimate alien artifact – the Firstborn’s computer and servant. It can teleport, replicate, and send radio and magnetic waves. It can kill. It is the Monolith.

Remember the ape/monolith scene from Kubrick’s classic 2001:A Space Odyssey? Apparently these apes didn’t get the memo that it wasn’t an Odyssey [console] at all, but actually an Atari 2600. This imaginative t-shirt by Akron, Ohio illustrator psychoreindeer reimagines that fateful monkey moment with a gigantic Atari joystick in place of the big black slab.
