If you like pancakes and X-Men, you will be thrilled about this. Earlier this week, it was National Pancake Day, which should be a big deal holiday in our estimation, complete with gifts of syrup and pancake trees.
This Kickstarter project pushes all my buttons. It’s a geeky 3D(ish) printer and it’s a kitchen gadget. It’s called the PancakeBot and it can print pancakes in just about any shape you can find online. It uses software that opens any image you find and allows you to trace that image.
Last year, we were mesmerized with the pancake flipping robot arm; now it’s time to meet the robot that can actually cook up some mean pancakes. Now here’s more gadgetry that can add to the existing fanfare on the train of thought that robots would someday come to rule our human world: the pancake-making robot constructed from Lego.
Now I’ll start out by saying that I really like pancakes. There’s nothing like a little carb-loading in the morning to get me going. Ok, the only place a tall stack of yummy pancakes, drenched with maple syrup and butter gets me going is straight to the couch.
After burning your toast with an alien, you can now get your pancakes in the shape of your favorite Star Wars characters. From Darth Vader to Yoda, you’ll be eating up your breakfast with the Force, thanks to these neat pancake molds.
